Holidays at The Co-op!
Thanksgiving E-mail

Order Up!

For this Thanksgiving Holiday, the Co-op will sell Mary's All Natural and Free-Range Organic Turkeys. Sometimes the difference between the natural and organic can be confusing, so read below for a quick breakdown to help make an  informed decision for your Thanksgiving bird.

Folks can order their turkey with a cashier at the registers. Right now, we have a good selection of organic turkeys ranging from 8 to 16 pounds. We have all natural turkeys ranging from 10 to 12 pounds, and should be getting some bigger birds in soon.

The All Natural turkeys will be $2.49 a pound and the organic turkeys will run $3.49 a pound. Pre-orders must be placed no later than Sunday, November 13.

All Natural

These turkeys are raised on healthful grains and allowed to roam in areas four times the size of the average commercial turkey ranch. Their high protein diet provides the optimum amount of nutrients for the turkey to grow into a bigger and more flavorful turkey than one typically found in the supermarket. You won't find any antibiotics, animal by-products, preservatives or hormones in a Mary's Free-RangeTurkey.

Organic
Mary's Organic Turkeys are fed a certified organic high protein diet, complete with the finest grains and vegetable proteins, and grow naturally with plenty of open space on a certified organic ranch in California. Because of cleaner living quarters, a healthier and happier turkey is produced having a better taste. You won't find any antibiotics, animal by-products, preservatives or hormones in a Mary's Free-Range Organic Turkey.

Meat Free

The Co-op will carry our traditional Thanksgiving Tofurky fare, only this year there will be no need to order the Tofurky Feasts ahead. We'll also be featuring a special holiday Field Roast Hazelnut Cranberry Roast en Croute (en Croute means wrapped in pastry). We also have vegan Quorn products (made from mushrooms) and Match Meat products, too.
