Co-op Board of Directors Election!
This year we have six people running for three seats on the Co-op's Board of Directors. Owners should have received their ballots in the mail by now. Completed ballots can be brought to the store and placed in the ballot box, or you can bring them to the Spring Feast/Annual Owners Meeting at Brehm Preparatory School on Saturday, March 27. This Year's Ballot Initiatives!
Along with our Board of Directors election, we have three ballot initiatives that owners should weigh in upon. The first is increasing the number of authorized shares; the second is the issue of nontransferability; and the third involves the allocation of net loss. Our Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is made up of owners that are elected for three year terms by popular vote. They operate under the rule of Policy Governance method, using consensus to reach decisions. The board creates and reviews broad goals to provide direction for the Co-op for our continued growth. The General Manager is then responsible for identifying the steps necessary to achieve these goals.
